About Belgorod State Technological University (BSTU)

Belgorod state technological university (BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov is a unique educational institution in Russia. For almost a 60 year experience it has trained over 65 thousand highly qualified specialists for building and construction industry. Today the university is the only one which has such specialization in Europe. Its graduates are currently been employed not only in the Russian Federation, but in CIS countries and abroad. Since 2010 professor, doctor of economic sciences Sergey Glagolev has been the rector of the university. 

According to the result of rating of the Ministry of Education and science of the Russian Federation the university holds the first position among architectural and construction educational institutions of Russia. According to the results of independent monitoring of Russian schools of higher education, BSTU named after V. G. Shoukhov is listed into top 16 Russian universities by the quality of professional training, employer demand for graduates and their successful career development. BSTU strategic development program is being successfully implemented, the university is included into for universities to fulfil target indices by 100%.

BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov became the top award winner of the contest “Healthy lifestyle University”.  The Students’ Council became the winner of the contest for a grant from the Ministry of Education and science of the Russian Federation for developing students’ self government. 

Modules

1. International Digital Marketing 國際數碼營銷

This course is structured to get students familiar with the main conceptual idea marketing in the world of e-commerce. The rising phenomena of social media is thoroughly discussed. Managerial and HR consequences under the digital era are also shared. Students will be introduced to different approaches of digital marketing strategies.

2. Business Law 商業法

The knowledge of legal background for international business is essential for all business practitioners. As the volume of FDI flows increase under the modern technological advances, managers and professionals are required to understand the legal principles of the international transactions. This course will prepare students to meet the challenges of an increasingly global economy by giving them the knowledge and training needed to handle complex transnational transactions that define the current legal and business environment.

3. Organization Management 組織管理

This course will focus on the basic but important concepts. It will help you better understand cross-cultural complexity; cultivate your awareness of your own and others’ cultural identities; it will also highlight some notable variations in communication styles and cultural values; and furthermore signpost paths towards building your intercultural competence.

4. Intercultural Communication and Management 跨文化傳播管理

This course will focus on the basic but important concepts. It will help you better understand cross-cultural complexity; cultivate your awareness of your own and others’ cultural identities; it will also highlight some notable variations in communication styles and cultural values; and furthermore signpost paths towards building your intercultural competence.

5. Banking and Financial Planning 銀行和財務計劃

This course essentially covers the topics of financial principles, financial evaluation models, international banking and macroeconomic policies of the central banks. A Comprehensive introduction to the diversified services and operations of the banking industry: Evaluation of International banking is presented. Students are asked to reflect on the main ideas in the course by applying to the real world via their working and every day matters.

6. Global Political and Economy 全球政治與經濟

This course is designed to inform students about the basic concepts of political economy. Topics like political communication, media discourse, trade systems and world system in general are covered. Students will gain the scientific insights of how politics influences the economic decision making in various political entities and systems.

7. International Entrepreneurship 國際創業

This course introduces students the key ingredients of making a successful entrepreneur. The issues of entrepeneurship in both the local and international level are presented. Topics of network building, opportunity identifications and small business global operations are covered. After studying the material of this course, students will be equipped with the overall knowledge in launching their own business.

8. Research Techniques 研究技巧

This course introduces the basic conceptualizations of research techniques to students. Topics such as the philosophy of scientific paradigms, inductive vs. deductive approaches, interview design are covered. It is increasingly common for researchers and academics to combine multiple techniques within a single research project. So the course ends with a suggested research proposal.

9. Thesis 論文

Doctoral Thesis (minimum 35,000 words)

Admission Requirements

  1. Master degree from an internationally recognized academic institution with at least 3 years working experience at managerial level.
  2. Proficiency in English

Medium of Instruction

  1. The programme is conducted in English or Chinese. Candidates should write and submit their dissertation by English or Chinese.
